Local Christians who Pledged to Boycott Target Make Pact of Silence After Seeing Each Other in Check-out Line

Germantown, TN - Michael Day is a member-in-good-standing at Grace Covenant Church in Germantown, TN and absolutely believes that “men are men and women are women.” He calls Caitlyn Jenner “Bruce” and is not above referring to homosexuals as “sodomites” when he’s angry.

But he can’t quit Target.

Michael was one of the first to add his name (and that of his wife, his son, his daughter, and their unborn child) to the “Boycott Target” pledge, but keeping it has proven harder than he imagined. He was recently spotted by neighbor and fellow-pledgee James Harkness at their local Target as they waited to check-out. After an extended awkward silence the two men agreed to keep each others secret and vowed “not to slip-up again.”

“Not even for Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter World ice cream, which you can only get here,” Michael was overheard to say, sighing heavily under the weight of his righteous duty. James agreed that even even if Taylor Swift released a new album with exclusive tracks found only on the Target-version, he would also keep his pledge.
