Christian Sports-Enthusiasts Call for Steph Curry to Confess Secret Sin After Suffering Playoff Blowout

Oklahoma City, OK – The Golden State Warriors, who broke the NBA record for most wins in a regular season, fell into a 1-2 hole in their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder as the two superstar-laden teams battle for the Western Conference championship and a trip to the NBA Finals. After losing a close Game 1 in Oakland to open to the series, the Warriors bounced back to win Game 2 in convincing fashion but had the favor returned by the Thunder in OKC Sunday night.

Is it time to panic?

Maybe.

The Christian NBA-fans out there are. Across the internet Christians sportsters, who have vicariously experienced success through Curry, the Christian-athlete golden boy, are calling for him to “confess and repent of the secret sin that is causing God to withdraw blessing from his endeavors.”

Tim Walsh, Christian sports blogger, further elaborated that “you can clearly see in his demeanor that Steph is dealing with unconfessed sin that is keeping him from God’s best in the playoffs. We need to pray for him and keep him accountable. Christians everywhere need to pray that Curry will be used by God to spark a revival in the NBA, the country, and the world.”

And other took up the call. On Twitter @God4Curry said, “4 real Steph man repent and B cleansed. God luv U even more than me lol” and @Curry4PrezWWJD added “Curry needs to get right with God and then he’ll be right on the court.” Similar sentiment was shared on Facebook also, and an online event called “Pray that Steph Confesses and Repents” currently has almost 1,500 people committed to participate.

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors could not be reached for comment.
