Calvinist Blogger Shrugs Off Reliance on Logical Fallacies, Ad Hominem Attacks, Claims It Is “Ordained”
Dallas, TX – Well-known and celebrated Calvinist blogger, James C. Carl brushed off criticism of his arguing techniques in a new post published Wednesday morning. Telling his critics they can “go to their preordained end” Carl defended his use of logical fallacies in almost every post saying, “my posts are pre-ordained to be what they are and to glorify God as they are. Telling me they need to change is saying that God doesn’t know what he’s doing, you stupid Arminians.”
Carl was responding to comments made on an earlier blog-post entitled “Why Arminians Can’t Help Being Annoying” that had tactfully suggested that his theology could be better expressed if divorced from the questionable tactics often deployed. Carl’s response was swift, merciless, and nonsensical.
“I’m not about to apologize for defending the Gospel,” he wrote, garnished with a picture of a burly man flexing and scowling. “I won’t say that my posts are inspired like Scripture, but I know I’m right and I know that God has ordained that I write this and that it’s true, so you do the math.”
The post ended with a picture of a “Only God Can Judge Me” back-neck tattoo and Carl’s parting shot of, “God is sovereign over my blog posts, and so I can’t change them at the whim of man.”
