Christian Blogger Can't Define the Gospel, But Is An Expert on Islamic Theology
Charlotte, NC - Ed Porter has been a Christian for over twenty years and has been a blogger for almost three. He covers culture, politics, and and the political culture. He mentions his faith at every chance he gets, but, when asked, is unable to articulate any meaningful understanding of his own religion. But he is unwavering his confidence that he knows what Muslims believe better than they do.
"It's violence on violence on violence," he declared in a recent blog post called 'What Islam Teaches Must Muslims Won't Admit'. "It's like Paul told the SyroPhoenician woman in Athens after she told him the world was held up by a man standing on the backs of two turtles. He said, 'So, it's just turtles all the way down?' Ladies and gentlemen, Islam is turtles all the way down. Violent turtles."
A commentor asked how much time Ed had spent studying Islam, and he answered that it's violent heart was apparent to "anyone with ears to hear."
When asked what hope the Gospel have Muslims, Ed didn't answer.
