Lack of Angelic Appearance at Inauguration Leads Local Pastor to Wonder if God Might Be Against War Crimes, Cronyism, and Blatant Dishonesty
Denham Springs, LA - As he watched the inauguration on Fox News Friday, local pastor Edward Schnook was taken aback that there was no obvious sign of heaven's pleasure. Numerous Facebook and blog posts made by Schnook in the days leading up to Trump's inauguration referenced the divine favor, blessing, and pleasure that he believed would be poured out upon the nation at Trump's ascension to office, but as the day unfolded no such sign was given.
After making a comment on his brother-in-law's inauguration-related Facebook post Schnook and others engaged in a conversation that stretched for well over 200 nested comment-replies. At one point Schnook made the near-fatal mistake of wondering if perhaps God disliked war crimes and cronyism as much as He did illegal immigration and socialism. Due to a slow internet connection, the righteous wrath of his conversation partners was not immediately updated and so Schnook had the audacity to further wonder if miraculous signs of God's favor were perhaps withheld due to the blatant dishonesty demonstrated by the newly-minted 45th president.
Fortunately for Schnook his friends staged a dramatic intervention and reminded him that his patriotism, manhood, and even his soul were put in harm's way with such pointless speculation and he recanted.
In the end Schnook was able to find a not-at-all photoshopped picture of Angel-shaped clouds hovering over D.C. on Inauguration Day and so was happy to share that with the caption "LIKE, SHARE, AND TYPE "AMEN" IF YOU SEE GOD'S GLROY IN THE CLOUDS!"
