Part IV - Salvation
We are persuaded that man’s great need is salvation.
That because of Adam’s sin,
corruption crept in,
and brought with it eternal damnation.
Death. The great separation.
A man-made gulf with divine-sized dimensions
stretches between Creator and His creation.
Man cannot breach the rift,
man cannot reach to lift
himself out of his curse-d situation.
But we are persuaded that God is able
and willing to bring us back to His table.
His flesh for our bread,
our drink, blood-red.
His life as the price to bring life to the dead.
By His life, His death, and His great resurrection
the Son of God put-down man’s bloody insurrection.
And calls us to repentance,
to return to His presence,
and by His shed blood be washed of our transgressions.
At the foot of the cross we find justification.
We repent from our sins into Christ’s adulation.
His death for our life.
His peace for our strife.
A right standing with God our soul’s great elation.
By the Spirit’s work we are sanctified.
Transformed by Him into a Christ-like mind.
Old man put to death.
New man given breath,
and raised to walk in newness of life.
One day, at last, we shall be glorified,
and be welcomed to the Father’s side.
Death is past,
all free at last,
in His good presence we will reside.
This is our hope, and our salvation,
Creator made Himself creation.
Died as our sins,
To give us his regeneration.
